What are we about

For more than a century, La Société des 40 Hommes et 8 Chevaux, known nationwide as the 40&8, has stood as the Honor Society of American Veterans. Founded in the aftermath of WWI, the 40&8 has a proud legacy of service, charitable impact, and unwavering dedication to those who defended our nation.

Today, our programs support:

Veterans and their families
Nurses' training
Youth leadership initiatives
Community service projects
Emergency and disaster relief efforts

Your support directly strengthens these mission-driven programs.

What we bring to Kansas

Kansas has a strong military and veteran culture tied to Fort Riley, McConnell Air Force Base, Fort Leavenworth, the American Legion and VFW networks statewide, as well as many other Veteran networks.

The 40&8 helps preserve that culture by keeping veterans socially connected, encouraging continued service after military life, enhancing our communities, providing mentorship and leadership opportunities, and maintaining patriotic traditions in local communities.

What happens if we raise too much?

Any donations over event costs for both years shall be distributed to Kansas chapters of the 40&8 after the Promenade Nationale 2028 for use in charitable causes for their local communities including the regions of:
